These were directly influenced by Peter Saville's 'Waste' images which used the back catalogue of Factory Records as their source material. I produced these over the space of a week in Los Angeles whilst attending Siggraph 2006. The less interesting sessions found me sat at the back of the conference hall working on these, and the palm tree imagery within them comes from visits to the beaches of Santa Monica, one of my favorite places in the world. The images were further recycled into the Algorithm archives DVD menus and covers.
